The Shadow at the Bottom of the Sea on Vimeo

I have just started up a Vimeo account where I will begin to upload bits and pieces of video work. The first piece up is a short I made a couple of years ago titled "The Shadow at the Bottom of the Sea."

the short film tells the tale of a boy living alone in a tower. This boy has a morbid hobby of dissecting sea creatures and sewing them back together. However, one day whilst fishing for new prey, he discovers a strange box...

NOTE: The current version on Vimeo has no musical score. I'll be updating this video with the proper version asap.

Screenshots from "Blip"

Here are two screenshots from my new short titled "Blip." The short is a highly energetic piece about a lonely office worker who creates a computer console from the clutter upon his desk and proceeds to play a game featuring himself as the main character.

Work begins on a new short film

I have just began work on a new short film. I'm not sure when it will be done, but I have a bunch of ideas that I will begin turning over in my head. Hopefully I'll be able to start shaping some kind of narrative soon.

Bellow is the a quick little piece of concept art for the film, just some images smooshed together.

It's Christmas Time

At the end of 2010 I had the opertunity to have some fun with my workmates at Bearcage Productions and create this musical short.

I wrote the song at home on my day off. Sitting in front of my computer, wearing nothing but boxers and holding my scrappy guitar, (the Skank) I bashed out a little section of music.
I would then turn that little bit of music into midi instrumentation, scratch out some lyrics and sing them into my midi microphone.

I repeated this process until the weak narrative and song were complete. It was the most creative day I've had in such a long time.

However, it took many recording sessions, two talented sound designers from Bearcage, (Matt and Nick M) and two nights of filming to complete the thing.

Check it out...
